How long will the process take?
There is important intake information to complete and payment information to set up. Insurance takes about 24 hours to approve. Credit cards and cash-paying clients tend to get scheduled faster.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Click on the link that says "Contact Us" found on multiple pages. Enter the required information and you will be contacted within 24-48 hours to schedule your first session.
Will my health insurance cover therapy?
Coverage varies greatly, but our services may be covered in part or in full by your insurance provider. Please contact your HMO or health insurance plan to learn more about what your plan covers. Below are some questions that are helpful to ask:
Do my insurance benefits include mental health services?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Will I be required to pay a copay?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions per year my plan covers?
What is my deductible?
Do I need to get approval from my primary care physician?
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance of your session. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will not be refunded.

Confidentiality

All information shared in therapy is confidential and protected by state and federal law. Information will not be released without your written authorization except as required or permitted by law
Limits of Confidentiality
Confidentiality may be broken without your consent in the following circumstances:
-If there is a risk of serious harm to you or another person
-Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult
-A court order or legal subpoena
-As otherwise required by Texas or federal law
Only the minimum necessary information will be disclosed.
Nature of Therapy
Therapy involves discussing personal, emotional, and psychological concerns and may at times involve discomfort. While therapy can be beneficial, no specific outcomes or results can be guaranteed.
You have the right to:
Ask questions about the therapeutic process
Refuse or discontinue services at any time
Request referrals to other providers
Emergency Services
Dream Counseling Center does not provide emergency or crisis services.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

By engaging in services with Dream Counseling Center, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this information and consent to treatment under these terms. A full informed consent document will be reviewed and signed prior to the start of services.
